Real estate school

School Ouch!  this is killing me.  This week I am attending real estate school at Prosource full time.  The classes started Monday and end on Thursday, 8:30 to 5:00 everyday.

One of the truths about being a Realtor is that as soon as we take a day off, go on vacation or go to all day classes, business starts coming in fast and furious.  On Monday I got a call from some clients who wanted to see a house, on Tuesday I got email from three people that wanted me to call them right away.

When I do take a vacation another Realtor takes over for me and can handle the little emergency’s that arise as soon as I leave my office.  I let my sellers know that they will get offers on their homes because it always seems to work that way.  I remember one vacation where I sold two homes via cell phone and was able to use part of my vacation as a tax deduction.  I had to be kind of sneaky about the whole thing because I did not want my husband to file for divorce.  The man is a saint!

I’ll be available by email for the next two days but can only make phone calls during breaks and during the lunch hour.

Minnesota Realtors are required to take 15 hours of continuing education each year.  I take a lot more training than that and teach some classes myself.  The classes I am taking are required so that I can get a Minnesota Real Estate Brokers license.  This is the third time I have signed up for the class and the first time that I have been able to attend.  There never seems to be a good time to take the class, but it has been great for business!

  1. Thanks Athol, it looks like I am going to have to study for this one. I want to get it done by the end of the month.

Larry – you are just plain bad. Go back to Issaquah and undress something! 🙂
