Kellogg Blvd near the Wabasha bridge doesn’t look all that different now that the Ramsey county correctional facility is gone because most of the building was built into the bluff. I tool the picture of the missing jail from Shepard Road. Demolition of the old West Publishing buildings is still underway and from up above on Kellogg all you really see are some boarded up windows. The real work is happening down below.
At one point in the planning the site was supposed to be ready for redevelopment in the spring of 2016. I don’t think that doesn’t look too likely and I am sure the date has been revised by now.
The views from both Kellogg Blvd and Shepard Road are going to look very different when the demolition is complete.
