A real urban farmer’s market

Don’t you just hate it when tables with vegetables on them are set up in huge parking lots and they call it a farmer’s market?  We have a wonderful farmer’s market here in St. Paul and I write about it every year . . get used to it.  It is in the heart of the lower town area in downtown St. Paul, right on the rail line being built.

I like to go on Sundays when it isn’t as crowded and I like to ride my bike to the market and then take the bike path along the river back home.  Sometimes I even take advantage of the fresh donuts for a dollar.  Last week I bought a copy of the Farmers market cook book and my daughter liked it so much I’ll have to buy her a copy now too. The book has all kind of recipes and ideas on how to prepare fresh vegetables from the farmers market.

Yes, there is still construction downtown but there is plenty of parking for the farmers market.
