Today is Give to the Max Day in Minnesota with over 6000 charities participating. I believe that everyone who can donate to a charity should donate. I am not a fan of the way
some companies and organizations choose a charity and ask everyone to donate. I think it is alright to choose on our own. I don’t use charitable contributions as a way to market my business.
If I were to host a fundraising event it would look just like this article.
Since the pandemic started I have been donating money to the Second Harvest Heartland Food shelf. There are many food shelves to choose from but I feel as though I understand Second Harvest and I believe that the food feeds the hungry.
There is definitely hunger in my community and I believe that everyone has a better chance in life if they have enough to eat. I spent more than a decade delivering meals on wheels and have packaged meals as a volunteer.
We live in a wealthy country with a high poverty rate. Please donate today if you can at Give to the Max day
