When I was with a big box type real estate company they had flyers we could give to people that explained why now is the best time to sell your home. There was a flyer for each of the four seasons. Fall was the best time to sell because people wanted to be in a home by the holidays. Winter was the best time to sell because of people who are relocating for work and because home owners face less competition.
We all know that spring is the best time to sell at least here in Minnesota because that is when everyone comes out of hibernation and starts looking at houses. Summer of course is the best time to sell because schools are not in session.
All the real estate agents in the office could just grab some of the marketing materials and use them at their open houses.
If I had to choose the perfect time to sell I would choose 2016. Why? Because demand for housing is high and we are in the strongest sellers market I have ever seen. Interest rates are very low and rents are high.
In general the very best time to buy or sell real estate is situational based on the needs and financial situation that a potential buyer or seller are in. No one makes marketing materials to advertise that fact so this article will have to do.
