The Robert Street (Hwy 952) bridge crossing the Mississippi River in downtown St. Paul. will be closed from 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5 until 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8 while maintenance crews apply an epoxy sealer/overlay on the bridge deck to prolong the life expectancy of the deck for up to 20 years.
You might want to also avoid the Lafayette bridge (Hwy 52) because of bridge construction. I say take the Wabasha street bridge or the Smith Avenue High Bridge.
I am going to see if I can get some candid shots of people stuck in traffic over the weekend.
