My favorite real estate app

Realtorapp

This app is free and it works on the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.  It doesn't have any advertising on it and because it is from Realtor.com it has all the listings on it that can be found in our MLS.  I have seen some nifty real estate apps but this has the most listings and the most accurate and up-to-date information about them.

What I especially like about this one is that I can draw a circle or any shape I want on it and show the houses in that area.  I can do that on our MLS but I can't control the shape as well or find the homes as quickly.  It is also location based so I can simply search close to where I am.  I can search by price range or number of bedrooms and more.  Each one of the pins shown in the screen print will show more details when it is touched.

Information about the homes for sale can be saved, or emailed. Even though I have access to the MLS I have been using this application often when I am away from my computer. The app has been named one of four great iPhone apps by Money Magazine. It was launched last January and by May it had been downloaded more than a million times.

  1. I love it when I read about fun new apps for my phone. Especially when they are free. Thank you for sharing.

  2. It is a great app but I like the one from Smarter Agent even better because it still provides my clients with mobile access to listings and keeps my relationship with them strong and intact.

  3. It looks like a great app – just wish I had an Apple product to use it with. Realtor.com is once again missing the boat by not coming out with a similar Android app.

Ron I am looking at it from a home buyers point of view not an agents point of view. They don’t care about branding they just want to find a home and this app works the best.

  5. I’ve tried this app and it is absolutely fantastic. It’d be pretty awesome if there was a way to get a personalized and branded version of this, even if it meant incurring a nominal fee. I’ve got IDXBroker on my site and they give agents their own iphone/ipad app that you can brand which is great but it doesn’t compare to the realtor.com app…

  6. To bad I have an android phone!!

  7. Great app that now works on my Android phone too!
