Minnesota Grown

Veggiew
These are from my garden, I guess gardens are another good use of real estate.   Gardening does not work out very well with my job because the spring and summer are my busiest time of year, and it is almost impossible to find the time to till and plant.   I can’t stand the thought of not growing flowers and vegetables, and some how I make it happen every year.  I picked these about 20 minutes before we ate them.   The tomatoes are kind of small this year but they are very good, perfect I would say.  Minnesota is truly beautiful this time of year. The corn is ripe and the vegetable stands around town are open for business, which is nice for people who don’t grow their own.  I wonder if I will have time to plant a garden next year?  I hope so.

Looks good, send me a few tomatoes. Out here they are cooked when you pick them this time of year.

  2. My cukes are half that size and my ‘maters are still small and green with the exception of a few grape tomatoes that we’ve pulled in. I am still a few weeks away from my favorite meal of the year, BLT’s with my tomatoes.

    Yours look great!

  3. mmmmm, those look yummy. We love shopping at the farmers market in St. Paul.
