243 million dollars and a few years later, Union Depot renovations are complete and the transportation bay and entire depot will be open to the public for the grand opening celebration starting at 9:00 this morning with speeches at 9:30 AM. The train terminal has been closed since 1971 and has been painstakingly restored after a couple decades of neglect.
There will be family friendly events all day and a screening of “elf” starting at 5:00 PM.

Events: Metro Transit bus service begins, 7 a.m.; public dedication and unveiling of the waiting room, 9:30 a.m.; free activities, including tours, theatrical performances, music, local artists, food vendors and Snoopy statue rededication, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; family movie night, 5 p.m.
