I attended the Winter Carnival torch light parade last night. The Vulcans dethroned King Boreas once more which means summer will come back. If you have no idea what I am writing about check out winter carnival lore.
As I watched the parade in the cold while it was snowing with thousands of my St. Paul neighbors I began to realize that there probably isn’t any other place on the planet where everyone will stand outside in the cold on a winter night and cheer as a yacht is being pulled down the street with people on it dancing to the theme song from Gilligan’s Island.
