Google+ on Friday

It is Friday and Fridays are for fun.  I have written about Google+ but not on this blog.  I announced that I was an expert with the new social network after I had played with it for a few hours earlier this month. My announcement came out about a week before the real experts started making announcements.

There have been a lot of articles about Google+  and how it is going to replace Facebook.  I admit I like the idea of Facebook being replaced but that isn’t going to happen.  I know I should care deeply about all of this but I have learned over the years as social networking sites come and go . . and dissapear. . .  to just go with the flow.  I have friends that get pretty excited about anything new so sometimes I have to smile and nod.

Google+ is still being beta tested by a limited group which I believe at this point consists of millions of people like 11 million even.  The first people who got invites were pretty full of themselves.

The Wave was one of the last big things that no one remembers now.  I don’t even think it caught on as well as the Quara site where I learned that there really is such a thing as a stupid question and that when they are answered a new level of stupid is reached that I never before imagined.  The way the site was explained to me I thought it would change business  forever and that I would be left behind if I did not start asking and answering questions.

If there is anyone out there who is desperate to join Google+ and isn’t one of the special select group of millions who are beta testing please let me know and I will send you a Google+ invite.  I will keep sending them until I run out of them.
