Dear CenturyLink

20120112-203611.jpg

It is Friday and I am not having fun.  As a Qwest customer internet outages were very rare.  I recall three or four of them in the last decade.  With CenturyLink there have been three or four this year. The currently outage is already 48 hours old.  It takes about 72 hours to get new internet access from any local provider.

Having an office without internet access has been an interesting experience.  I get by because there are two coffee shops on the block and I can tether my phone to one of my computers and I have an iPad with internet access.

As for CenturyLink they do not know when they will have the us up and running again. Last I heard they were waiting for a part.  It blows my mind that a huge company like that does not have the resources either have spare parts or get a new part.

Each time I call for an update on the outage I am put on hold and I have to listen to advertisement for high speed internet access and all of the wonderful things a person can do with interenet access.

If there is a way to get new high speed internet access today?

  1. Ah, yes. I too get to go through this.
In my case, it is sprint 3G service that I am supposed to get on my phone and air card.
Not only do I have to listen to this moronic crap, I have to dial through the same customer disservice phone tree in spite of the fact that my problem has been escalated to second level engineering.

they don’t have engineering at century Link they can not track parts and they don’t know where the stations are. Pretty sad

  2. Teresa,
Sorry for the service issue. If you are still having problems or have a moment to provide more information, we would like to hear from you.

    Either contact talktous@centurylink.com or me.

Sorry again for the issue. Please know we are local and here to help.

I will try that. We were mostly unable to get information. Typical big company “not out department or fault” sort of thing
