A tradition

I take this same photo every year at Como Conservatory during the December artists event.  They open the place early on a Sunday morning and we grab our tri-pods and pay $5 to go in and take photographs of the holiday flower show.

Last years picture is my all time favorite and this years is OK.  It was a cloudy morning and in photography lighting is all that really matters.   This years picture was taken with a more expensive camera. I general try to refrain from photographing what everyone else photographs but I always enjoy taking these shots.  I talk to several people who have never attended this event before.

Such a pretty place.  You owe it to yourself to stop by this holiday season.

The Blue Hour

It is Friday and Fridays are for fun.  The blue hour doesn’t last an hour but it happens twice a day or at least it has so far.  The blue hour is the time shortly after sunset and before sunrise. It is one of my favorite times to go out and get photographs.

For fun I got up super early last Sunday and went downtown to photograph Rice Park.  There was plenty of parking and no traffic and no snow.
