Ho

Happyfriday_2Fridays are for fun, which is a good thing because today is Friday.  It has been an unbelievable week.  I know there is only one "ho" in the title and it looks funny but I was too tired to write more.   We have all this holiday type stuff going on, and business is a little crazy with people coming into town over the holidays to look at homes.  I say look because most won’t buy until after the first of the year, they are just getting started.

I have my face here on my post with me today.  I put it on the site to kind of spruce things up for the holidays.  I have profiles on various sites all over the internet and I changed all the avatars so that they are wearing a red hat.

For some reason this has generated some questions.  I have never questioned my face, it just is but I thought I would explain it becasue it will be here for a couple of more weeks and I am already getting tired of answering the dame questions.

First of all my husband is the artist, he used photo shop.  I have a hat just like it but I can’t wear it because it drives the dog nuts.  As soon as she sees it she starts barking and wagging her tail and I can’t make her stop.  One day maybe my dog and my cat will have an office of their own so that I can wear what ever I want to to work and they won’t bug me. For now we all have to share.

A couple of people asked about the glasses.    I am not really sure why I have to explain it.  It seems obvious to me, and I did write a post about it last spring.  The dark glasses are called sun glasses, but you knew that.  They are worn to protect the eyes from the harsh December sun that is out for about for hours a day here in Minnesota, two days a week.

The other pair of glasses are necessary if I want to actually see.   Most of the time I don’t need to see,  and sometimes it is better if I can’t see, but sometimes need to see so I bring them along just in case.  They are easier to find if I just leave them on my face.  They can be stored on my ears and my nose holds them in place so it works out pretty well.  I get the fact that not everyone can pull off the look but like I have said before it is only a matter of time before it catches on.

Things have been too serious this week.  A friend of mine wanted to cheer me up and made my day by calling all the way from Denver to insult me instead of doing it by email the way she usually does.  It  was thoughtful of her to take time out of her day to do that.   I guess just knowing that some one cares made the week a little easier. Maybe some day I’ll have a friend that doesn’t insult me but as long as I  have a real estate license my options are limited and she does make me laugh.

Have a great weekend, and stay warm.  For mittens hats and scarves the red ones are the warmest.

  1. I don’t know why I’m up this late- let alone reading blogs. But I couldn’t help but giggle a little when I came here to see your picture under the word “Ho”

I was expecting a Teresa rap song. Good thing you have a Santa hat on. 🙂

  2. Happy Friday, Teresa!!

Let’s all have a great weekend, OK?

  3. I didn’t know that about the red mittens and scarves. That explains a lot.

  4. May I was going to do something with the “Ho” but decided I had better not. 🙂

    Sarah – you to

Linda – Red is the warmest, black is second best. Whites and pastels just don’t cut it. The same is true when it comes to sweaters and slippers. I don’t understand why everyone doesn’t just know this but that is OK I am happy to explain.

  5. T,

I remember that post about the glasses. I can not think of any reason why someone would call you to insult you other than to cheer you up. It seems like the appropriate thing to do for a woman of your sense of humor. :>)

  6. Today is an extra special Friday for college kids. Its Friday which is great, classes ended last night which is really great, and graduation is in about 3 hours.

    Happy Holidays!

  7. Theresa, Here in Sun City, we understand sun glasses, don’t know anything about snow shovels, and it is too hot to wear the Santa hat. I do have a Santa baseball cap though, it helps keep the sun out of my eyes.

  8. Jim – thanks for sharing. My toes can almost imagine warn. 🙂

  9. If they didn’t insult you, how would you know they were your friends?

  10. …And I LIVE with this woman…you have NO IDEA! 😉

  11. Todd – good point. If I look at it that way I guess I have more friends that I thought.

Jack – if that is your real name, I think I can help you find the door.

  12. THAT would depend on whether you could actually FIND your glasses! 🙂

  13. You have a Friend in Denver who insults you? Tell me who, I’ll go slap her! 🙂

  14. Who are you and what have you done with KK?

  15. I may not have called toinsult
