Like most homeowners, I get phone calls, text messages, and postcards from people who want to buy my house or Realtors who have clients who want to buy my house.
Some homeowners find this all quite flattering and that it speaks to how special their house is. Other homeowners think it is a scam.
There are some scams and some houses are special but there are not enough houses on the market right now to satisfy the demand. There are people who will give you cash for your house and buy it today. The Realtor with an interested buyer knows that there are buyers who are interested in your house and that it wouldn’t take long to sell.
It doesn’t matter if your house needs work it is just as likely to get an offer as a house that is in great shape.
If you think an offer is a scam have a lawyer look it over before accepting it.
Even though housing prices are high and interest rates have gone up we are still in a strong buyers market here in St. Paul.
The way I handle the calls and text messages I get is by blocking the number.
