Sparkle, sparkle

It is Friday and Fridays are for fun. I am in full fall cleaning mode.  I am just two windows away from having all the windows washed, inside and out which is a big job. For the first time ever I am going to share my window-washing formula.

Mix a tablespoon of washing soda (Borax) and a cup of vinegar in 2 to 2.5 gallons of warm/hot water. I use a lambs wool applicator and a squeegee.  I have a pole that I can put the squeeze on to reach the two windows that I would have to use a ladder to get at.

My window-washing formula gets windows squeaky clean. They sparkle too.

Clean windows make all the difference in the winter when it is often best to be inside looking out. Fall cleaning also includes washing curtains and dusting away the cobwebs in the corners near the ceiling. There is more but it isn’t very interesting and not all that much fun.

If you plan to put your house on the market wash the windows first.
