Homes sold quickly in December, especially for December. In most cases, homeowners got their asking price or more. During the holiday’s people were buying houses but few people were putting their homes on the market as we begin year 7 of the seller’s market.
Home values rose the most in the neighborhoods where the prices are the lowest.
The biggest challenge in the real estate market is buying real estate not selling it. I have had a few clients in the past couple of years who bought houses before they sold their current home.
