Clocks, they are everywhere

There is a big round clock on the wall in my office and my computer has the time on it as does my phone and I still wear an old school wristwatch.  In the kitchen, the microwave oven and the stove have built-in clocks. There is a clock on the coffee maker which is important because I have it set to brew coffee at 5:30 AM.

The clock on the wall in the kitchen was a gift and I have had it in every kitchen of every home we have ever lived in. There is a clock built into the fancy thermostat and right under the thermostat is a fancy clock.

There are two clocks in the living room. One of them is an antique and I haven’t wound it up or set it in a few years. It chimes on the hour and half hour. There is a quartz clock next to it that was my mother’s that is a replica of an antique clock. I actually look at that one to see what time it is.

The clock in the guest room is unplugged and rarely used and there is one in the bedroom that is plugged in and has an alarm that hasn’t been used in the last decade or so. There is a clock in the car too. That one is kind of handy but usually off by a few minutes no matter what I do.

You would think with so many clocks there would be more time but there isn’t.
