It is Friday and Fridays are for fun. I sold my car with a Minnesota State Park sticker that is good until May 2025. I never used the sticker which is alright. It was an aspirational state park sticker.
I feel the same way about my passport which is good until April 2027 and my TSA pre-check which is good until sometime in 2028, and hasn’t been used since I renewed it last year. I aspire to use them both.
We all need hopes, dreams, and goals.
Hi! I saw this blog post as it came up in a media report about state parks. I work for the Minnesota state park system and wanted to let you know (for next time) that if you have a state park permit sticker on your car, and you sell the car or get your windshield replaced, you can peel off the sticker and either mail it in or take it to a ranger station at a state park, and they’ll replace it with a new sticker that expires the same month as your original one. The mail-in address is in the FAQ at mndnr.gov/permit. We hope you get to use your next state park permit, and that you get to use your passport and TSA pre-check too! Happy exploring.
Thanks! I had no idea that the stickers can be replaced. In my case the person who has the car has a better shot at using the sticker than I do. I’ll buy myself another aspirational sticker. I really do love the state parks.
