Business Goals
Wow! isn't that a riveting title for a blog post. I am thinking
people will see that in their reader and just come flocking on over.
It is that time of year again. The business plan for 2008 is done.
After all how can we ever achieve our goals with out a plan? As part
of my planning process I review last years goals. Lucky for me I wrote
a blog post about it so I have them handy for reveiw:
Business Goals
Goals should be stated in positive terms and start with phrases like I will. In my case that won't work because I am kind of a work in progress. I am going to focus on three things that I won't do this year:
- When I get ticked off at one of my neighbors I will not have a for sale sign put in front of their house. I will use my words instead of my sign vendors to settle all future disputes.
- I will not answer my email while I am driving if I have clients in the car even though it has been an effective way to narrow down the number of homes they want to see.
- I will only put my electronic lock box on a sellers door after they sign a contract with me.
Personal Goals
I can use positive terms because personal goals are just different:
- I be will kinder to myself but continue treating others with the utmost disrespect as I so often do.
- Every Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM I will be nice, and kind and good and deport myself like the lady that I was raised to be, no f-ingheimers from me no sir!
- I will only write the truth, the honest truth on my blog even if I have to make it up.
My goal planning is easy for 2008. I was unable to reach most of the goals listed above so I will try a again. Do you have some lofty goals for 2008 that you would like to share?

Business:
1. I will not pretend to have cell phone reception problems when I'm not getting my way or I've said something stupid and can't backpedal fast enough.
2. I won't keep stealing the Mont Blanc from my boss' desk and acting like I don't know what he's talking about.
Personal:
1. I will eat as many bags of chips as I do bags of dried fruit or nuts. Maybe.
2. My goal is to be more patient- and it can't be accomplished quickly enough!!

I think you have already met your personal goals. The other ones you can working on until you get them right.
The "for sale" sign in front of the neighbors is a hoot. Glad we don't leave next to each other! :)
That could get expensive.

KK - yes we are lucky that geography makes it impossible for me to put a for sale sign in your yard, you know I would.
Lani - one of my posts was nominated, it is here on the Weenie. "Don't Judge me by my page rank" Your interviews are funny, especially the one you did with me. :) LOL, love your goals.

Maggie just made me cry (sweet post) and I'm at work. I had to put a stop to that so I came to the Weenie for an instant pick-me-up.
Thinking of you not using the f-ingheimers from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Wednesdays did it for me. 2:01 must be a blast.

O Boy, Teresa, this was hyterically funny...I'll have to reformat my goals and make them far more lofty. :)

Lola - never underestimate the importance of loft goals. when I work for a major corporation we used to have SWAGS - silly wild a__s goals. We would set the bar very high.
