Cold but Beautiful
Pictures taken at Indian Mounds Park on my way from one appointment to another. Everyone takes pictures from this spot. It really is beautiful. Part of the Mississippi River is frozen but there is open water in the wide spots. Now we need to all get ready for the deep freeze. Is there ever really a way to get ready for sub-zero weather?

Your pictures are always so nice to look at! And I'm not so sure there's ever really a great way to get ready for that kind of cold weather. We get tastes of that kind of cold here every once in awhile, and all you can really do is just bundle up a little bit more than we're already doing.
I should be a jerk and post a picture on my blog entitled "Warm but beautiful."
:)
Resist, Kevin, resist!
Kevin - be nice or I shall hurl lightening bolts at you from the top of mount bloggious as i often do when another blogger ticks me off. :)
I love your photos and wonder how you create the shadowed edges... I'm just north & west of Kevin in Half Moon Bay, but lived in Ann Arbor for a few years - the early winter's snow can certainly be beautiful as your photos capture.
Beautiful, indeed! Maybe it's just your camera :)
Paula - i am so lucky, I have a magical camera and sometimes it gives me nice pictures. If I ever lose it or if it breaks I guess I won't be taking pictures any more. :)
