For Realtors Who want to Connect

Bloggers Connect

Only 4 days left before prices go up! Sign up this week and your Bloggers Connect admission is only $99 ($129 after June 15th).

If you’re interested in real estate blogging, Bloggers Connect in San Francisco will help you learn from some of the best and brightest in the biz. This is also your chance to put faces to many of the names you’ve been exposed to from the Carnival of Real Estate; Dustin Luther, Ardell DellaLoggia, Drew Meyers, Brian Brady and Teresa Boardman are just some of the bloggers who will be there. This is a great chance to meet face to face and network with some of the top real estate bloggers out there today.

Also, stay tuned to the Connect SF 2007 Blog for the announcement of Bloggers Connect keynote speaker next week - a controversial figure who will surely have lots to say about real estate blogging. By Joel Burslem, Future of Real Estate Marketing

OK you can tell I didn't write this but I will be at this event, and at the Inman Connect conference that follows.  I will be on a panel at each conference.  It has been an interesting experience, because of the Minnesota thing.    The world of real estate blogs  is dominated by all of you fine folks who live in the West and on the West Coast. I get some publicity and people don't get how that happens to someone from St. Paul. Maybe the world wide web really is global, who knows.  We get a bad rap here in fly over land.  Honest we do use technology. I even have an electric tooth brush.  I have to charge it in Minneapolis until we get electricity here in St. Paul. . . . just kidding.

I think what I am the most excited about is meeting so many of the people that I frequently come into contact with but have never had the privilege of meeting in person.  Jeff Turner has promised me a big hug and I plan to collect, but only if he loses the 20 pounds and gets back to his fighting weight.

The gents from Sellsius will be there with their magic bus.  I will meet Jim Cronin of the Real Estate Tomato in person for the first time and of course the folks  with Active Rain Inc.  Larry Cragun from the Undressed network will also attend.  He has written guest posts on the St. Paul Real Estate Blog, I just hope he leaves the spider at home.

TheTwhatre are so  many others that I would like to meet, but I won't unless they buy tickets.  Inman news made me, and I do mean made me submit a recent *photo.  It took them two months to get it from me. I post it here in the hope that we will all recognize each other at the conference.  My other option would be to attend with half of my face covered and I am still considering it but I don't think they will give me my picture back.

Some of you have questioned the value of a real estate blog. I can say mine has enriched my life in many ways, most importantly it has introduced me to some amazing people, like you. Blogs are social right?  You sit on the fence trying to decide if you should start one. The beauty of the blog is that anyone can do it. I am not a writer or a photographer, or an SEO expert but a real estate professional just like you.  Please give it a try and I will see you at Bloggers Connect.

*I confess this is not the picture that went with the post.  It seems that someone linked to it. :) I don't like having my face on the internet and avoid it whenever I can.  if you are reading this now keep in mind that I can't see your face either.

I'm really looking forward to this event, I think it's a great idea and it will no doubt be a lot of fun.

  8. Marc Vitorillo

Great looking pic. My sister just moved down from St Paul to Florida. If any of her friends end up buying or selling, I'll definitely pass your info.

Well, I'll be in San Francisco for vacation next week (for the very first time). Hmmm...perhaps I should have timed it accordingly on Aug 1st instead. I, too, have never put my face on my website since I want my clients to look at information and not about me. Maybe I'll reconsider as I am not really a cartoon with a building icon next to my face.

  9. Teresa Boardman

Marc - My face really is not on my blog and I also use an avatar. This picture is kind of a one shot deal and will be replaced with an avatar at some point.

    Change your vacation plans. :)
