Meme, my turn

Today I was Meme tagged by Joseph G. Ferrara of the most excellent Sellsius Real estate blog.  What is a meme?  Good question, up until yesterday I never heard or saw the word, now I am writing about it.   A meme is a catch phrase or contagious idea, that spreads virally in a culture.  In other words the idea is spread from one person to another by word of mouth or in this case in writing.  I have also observed this phenomena with fashions.  We are playing a little game of meme tag on the Internet through our blogs.  Maybe because it is Saturday,  and no one reads them, so we can write what ever we want to.

Our topic today is 5 things you may not know about me:

1. I don't like to write about myself, it is good that my mission came from my friends at Sellsius because I would not do this for just anyone.
2. I have traveled,  but have lived within a two mile radius of downtown St. Paul my entire life, always near enough to the Mississippi River so that I can hear the horns from the boats.
3. My first year in college was spent living in a dorm, that we shared with the nuns, I was 17 so they kept an eye on me.  I tore holes in more than one pair of jeans climbing the barbed wire fence so that I could grab a couple of drinks with my old enough to drink class mates at the local bar.  We didn't have much money so we would wash our cloths in the bathtubs and use the laundry money to buy beer.
4. I come from a long line of short people.  Since you can't see me, and most of the bloggers have never met me in person they don't know that I am exactly 5 feet tall,  a whopping 60 inches!
5. What I value the most in life is laughing and making others laugh.  There was a time when stand-up comedy was a possible career path.  My life might have been different but I chose real estate because I am really not that funny.

Bonus:  I am afraid of heights to the point where I sometimes drive down the middle of bridges, without even being aware of it,  so that I don't have to look over the side.
