One last chance

snowshovel

This could be the last major snow fall of the season.  For those of you who have not cleared any snow this season from the sidewalk in front of your house you have one last chance to get it right and clear the snow or hire someone to do it for you.

The people who slip on your sidewalk end up at the local emergency room. Some are just on their way to work.  Others have to make deliveries and some are just pesky real estate agents.

The City of St. Paul requires owners and renters to remove snow and ice within 24 hours after a snowfall from public sidewalks bordering their buildings or lots.

Calling in properties that haven’t removed snow from their sidewalks can help bring enforcement to an ongoing problem but it isn’t an immediate fix.

To report a sidewalk within St. Paul city limits call 651-266-8989 or use this form.

  1. Too bad my neighbors arent reading this. I have shoveled my neighbor’s walk 3times now. I was hoping they would get the picture. I guess not. Pet peeve! Not suprisingly, they are the people that dont move their cars for the plows either. Didn’t anyone teach them ignorance is not an excuse?

It is frustrating for us. we try to walk the dog every day. There is an entire block that has not been shoveled all winter.
