With a heading like today's on a blog about real estate, I bet you're expecting a pitch about "green" building practices like the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating Systemâ„¢ or the Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) industry. It's not.
I think environmentally conscious building and redevelopment is critical to sustained growth and smarter infrastructure and all that good stuff, but I don't know the first thing about what makes green "green" except for maybe the part about if I upgrade my home to some windows that do not let in a draft I can then get a tax break for my house being more green. At least that's what all the flyers sitting on the dining room table tell me when I come home from work each day.
Today's "green" effort is simply a photo of grass that I shot yesterday with a quote from "Grass," a song by the band XTC.
We're known for our winter wonderlands here in Minnesota. But as the month of endless holidays begins, we're still singing the praises of "green" over "winter white." For now.
Apparently, I'm not the only one who is reluctant to move on to a next round of holiday colors:

I like the green and I think it is bad luck to mention white or to flaunt the green on the internet
