Help Fluffy

by Teresa Boardman, on 02 February 2009

Paw Some times when people lose their homes their pets become homeless too.  Worse yet sometimes home owners leave the pets inside the home when they leave.

This is becoming a crisis, just like the number of foreclosures have become a crisis.

The humane society could use more donations . . I know what you are thinking everyone needs more donations . . lets just say this is another worthy cause.

I could go into detail about what happens to these pets when they are left inside abandoned homes . . but I won't.

  1. this is sad. We had an owner leave a property and they left 6 cats in it, its horrible

    – a very important post! I am going to make a donation, myself. These innocent creatures deserve better. Thank you for reminding me of this important cause.

  3. Thank you for reminding me. I made my 2008 Humane Society donation but it’s time for a donation in 2009!

I currently live in a condo and don’t feel its right to coop a dog up in a small area. Can’t wait till I get a single family to I can rescue a dog (or two).

A very important post for anyone who cares for animals. I have three dogs and couldn’t imagine such a thing. It’s happening in NYC and if I had fewer dogs I’d take one on. But three is really one too many logistically.

People can be so cruel unfortunately. Perhaps if they reversed the situation they would behave differently.
