Mears park is located in the lowertown neighborhood of downtown St. Paul, it takes up a city block and is located at 6th and Sibley.  One of my favorite parks, it really is an oasis.  The stream runs the length of the park, with gardens along the edges. There are concerts in the park during the summer and  activity in the park all year, as people who live in the nearby lofts and condos walk themselves, and their dogs.

You should do the city’s tourism and/or relo brochure. Your pictures make me want to move there!

That first one is amazing. The lights and the color are awesome.

You could really take this on the road and display your gallery during the slow times… Really!

  3. Kara – one of my photos will be published in an explore Minnesota Brochure, and the St. Paul visitors and convention bureau did find me. :)

Bob- It is your comments, and the comments of others that keep me shooting. I couldn’t do it without you. It would be fun to make a virtual gallery, maybe I will. :)

First photo how did you do it?

  11. Karen – it was taken at night, with a fairly slow shutter speed. Have to use a tripod and I use a remote too.
