We live close to a fire station #1.  Did you know that proximity to a fire station will lower your home owners insurance rates but that being a pyromaniac will not?

When you purchase a home your insurance company may ask where the nearest fire department is.  I am not sure why they would take a home buyers word for it or why they would not look it up themselves as a service to their clients but sometimes they don’t and the buyers ask me.
