This is for my neighbors in Irvine Park. If you look at the picture carefully, you can see a crane off to the left.
The crane is used every year to put the blossoms on the trees so that everything looks perfect. This will be done about the first week of May.
I am looking forward to Spring this year and can’t wait to start planting my gardens. I am also looking forward to seeing my neighbors who have stayed inside during the cold winter months. We have some catching up to do so stop by!

Now, you don’t expect people to believe the Parks Department does all that, do you?
What actually happens is that right about now, the first day of Spring*, I start sitting out on my porch and imagining just how beautiful it will be. After a month and a half of this, it all starts to happen.
It’s not hard work, it’s just pure magic and an active imagination that makes it happen. Like most good things in life.
(* Happy Birthday JS Bach, 322 years today!)
I know the city doesn’t do it. Then what’s up with the crane?
Well, that is my laugh for the day! I lived in Edina a long time ago and vividly remember the winters, the photo is beautiful.
