To my friends, family, neighbors, clients and readers I would like to wish you a happy new year.

2006 has been a wonderful year for me and I am looking forward to 2007, and hope that you are too.

The picture was taken last summer at the South end of the Smith Avenue High bridge.  Once you get to end of the bridge you are in the uppertown area, a little slice of St. Paul along the river bluff not to be confused with lowertown in downtown St. Paul or uptown in Minneapolis. 

The area was named upppertown by the neighborhood because it is near the upper landing of the Mississippi River.  The port of St. Paul is just a few short blocks away.

I include it in my post as a tribute to my uppertown neighbors, who really are the best neighbors a person could have.
